The game rules of Your Own Ramen

The base

The base of your recipe should be a ramen or cup noodles. As a tip: you can use the Nissin Takumi cup noodles, available in each Takumi restaurant and online via TakumiCollection.com but this is not obligated.

Submitting your recipe

Your Own Ramen submissions can be entered via this page only from January 15 2022 till October 31 2022. All information should be provided including a decent picture of your recipe.

Recipe rating

Your Own Ramen recipe will be rated by the Takumi chefs. They pick the top five and together with the founders of Takumi they will choose a winner based on how well your recipe suits the Takumi Ramen tastes.

The price

The winner of Your Own Ramen wins a trip to Japan for 2 persons (including flights, hotel and an Sapporo Ramen tour).

Grand final

The Takumi chefs select the top 5 recipes. The 5 best win a trip to the Netherlands for the grand final. During the final we challenge you to create your recipe for the founders of Takumi and the local chefs to taste. During this final we pick and announce the winner of a trip to Japan.

Right of excluding

You can participate as many times as you like as long as you submit unique recipes. Incomplete, inappropriate and double submissions by the same person will be excluded from the contest.

You can participate in the Create Your Own Ramen Challenge until October 31st 2022.

Can I submit more than one recipe in the Your Own Ramen challenge?

Yes, every full-fledged and unique recipe will be judged by the Takumi Chefs.

Are there any limitations while creating the recipe?

No. As long as your recipe is edible and fits the Takumi flavors we encourage you to get creative as possible!
